With an upright mounding habit, this plant is a nice filler for a container.

The silvery-green leaves are about 1- to 2-inches long, elliptic in shape, with a rubbery texture.

The 2- to 4-inch-long bottlebrush-shaped flowers are silvery-lavender in color, emerging silvery and maturing to a more lavender color.

Bees and butterflies are attracted to the flowers. Joey, like the baby kangaroo, is a sun-loving, drought-tolerant annual, thriving in very well-drained soils.
